Koito Manufacturing Rebuilds Single Dormitory in Shizuoka Area

Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuaki Kato) is pleased to announce that, with the aim of further enhancing employee welfare, they have rebuilt their single dormitory in the Shizuoka region, "Chiyoda Dormitory" (Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City). The dormitory was completed in February 2026 and residents began moving in on March 23rd.

As Chiyoda Dormitory had been in use for 39 years, it underwent renovations to address aging issues and update to the latest facilities.

The room size has been expanded to approximately three times the previous size, and private water facilities have been installed in each room to ensure ample privacy and a comfortable living space. Convenience has been improved with the installation of delivery boxes, and building performance has been enhanced in terms of earthquake resistance, insulation, and soundproofing. Furthermore, a solar power generation and storage system has been introduced, making the building environmentally friendly and disaster-resilient.

Additionally, a spacious common room has been provided for employees to communicate with each other, supporting their growth in both work and life.
