Koito Manufacturing Rebuilds Dormitory in Shizuoka Region

Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuaki Kato) announces that it has rebuilt its single dormitory "Chiyoda Dormitory" (Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City) in the Shizuoka region to further enhance employee welfare. Construction was completed in February 2026, and residents began moving in on March 23rd.

As Chiyoda Dormitory was 39 years old, it underwent rebuilding to address aging and update to the latest facilities. The room area has been expanded to approximately three times the previous size, and each private room has been equipped with water facilities, ensuring ample privacy and a comfortable living space. In addition to improving convenience such as the installation of delivery boxes, building performance has been enhanced in terms of earthquake resistance, insulation, and soundproofing. Furthermore, a solar power generation and storage system has been introduced, making it an environmentally conscious building with disaster preparedness capabilities. Additionally, a spacious common room has been created for employees to use as a place for communication, supporting their growth from both work and life perspectives.
