Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuaki Kato) announced the rebuilding of its "Chiyoda Dormitory" for single employees in the Shizuoka area (Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City) to further enhance its employee welfare program. Construction was completed in February 2026, and residents began moving in on March 23. The Chiyoda Dormitory, which was 39 years old, was rebuilt to address deterioration and to upgrade to the latest facilities. In addition to improving convenience with features like delivery boxes, the building's performance in terms of earthquake resistance, insulation, and soundproofing has been enhanced. Furthermore, a solar power generation and storage system has been introduced, making the building environmentally friendly and equipped for disaster response. Moreover, a spacious common lounge has been established to be used as a place for employees to communicate, supporting their growth in both their work and personal lives.
