Koito Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; President: Mitsuaki Kato) is pleased to announce that it has rebuilt its dormitory for single employees, "Chiyoda Dormitory" (Aoi-ku, Shizuoka City), with the aim of further enhancing employee welfare. The reconstruction was completed in February 2026, and residents began moving in on March 23.
Chiyoda Dormitory, having been in use for 39 years, has undergone reconstruction to address its aging infrastructure and update it with the latest facilities.
The room size has been expanded to approximately three times the previous size, and private facilities have been installed in each individual room, ensuring ample privacy and a comfortable living space. In addition to improved convenience such as the installation of delivery boxes, building performance has been enhanced in terms of earthquake resistance, insulation, and soundproofing. Furthermore, a solar power generation and storage system has been introduced, making the building environmentally conscious and disaster-resilient.
Moreover, a spacious common room has been established as a place for employees to communicate with each other, supporting their growth in both their work and personal lives.
Moving forward, our company will continue to advance the creation of an environment where each employee can perform at their best, aiming to improve corporate value and achieve sustainable growth.
