Odakyu Hakone Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Hidehiro Murakami) will operate a special train departing from Hakone-Yumoto Station at 11:58 to Gora Station and newly launch a seating reservation ticket, the "Rakuraku Seating Reservation Ticket," to ensure a comfortable journey on the Hakone Tozan Railway during the three days of Golden Week from May 3 (Sun) to May 5 (Tue/Holiday), 2026.

The "Rakuraku Seating Reservation Ticket" has a limited capacity of 60 passengers. By adding 500 yen to the regular fare, passengers can enjoy a seated ride without any waiting time. In a calm train interior with no embarking or disembarking at intermediate stations, you can relax with family and friends and enjoy a mountain railway journey that climbs Japan's steepest gradient as an adhesion railway, featuring switchbacks.

Also, during the same period, convenient priority gates requiring advance reservations will be implemented for free again this year at Gora Station on the Hakone Tozan Cable Car, and Sounzan and Togendai Stations on the Hakone Ropeway. This can be used in conjunction with the "Rakuraku Seating Reservation Ticket."

In addition to advance reservations, the Hakone Ropeway's Owakudani Station will implement a "Time Select Pass" (issuance of time-specified numbered tickets) for the direction of Ubako and Togendai Stations exclusively on May 5. Furthermore, the Hakone Tozan Bus operates the "Ashinoko Liner," a reserved-seating service connecting Odawara/Hakone-Yumoto with Moto-Hakone Port and Yama-no-Hotel on the shores of Lake Ashi, with two round trips on weekends and holidays throughout the year.

Please utilize advance reservations during Golden Week to comfortably enjoy the fresh greenery of Hakone, which is full of highlights.

Details of the implementation of the "Rakuraku Seating Reservation Ticket" and "Priority Gate Reservation" are as follows.

1. Hakone Tozan Railway Seating Reservation Ticket "Rakuraku Seating Reservation Ticket"
(1) Implementation period: May 3 to 5, 2026
(2) Target train: Departing Hakone-Yumoto Station at 11:58 (Arriving at Gora Station at 12:42) 60 passengers each day
Passengers will be guided in the order of reception at the platform on the day. Car numbers and specific seats cannot be designated.
(3) Target section: From Hakone-Yumoto Station to Gora Station *Boarding and alighting at intermediate stations are not permitted.
(4) Sales start date: April 17 (Fri) 10:00 AM
(5) Sales method: Sold on the ticket site "EMot" (App/Online) up to 1 hour before departure. *If seats are available, same-day tickets will be sold from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM on the day.
(6) Fee: Adults 500 yen, Children 250 yen *Regular fare is required separately.

2. Hakone Tozan Cable Car, Hakone Ropeway Priority Gate Reservation
(1) Implementation period: May 3 to 5, 2026
(2) Hakone Tozan Cable Car
1. Target trains: One train per hour from the regular passenger trains operating from the 10:00 AM hour to the 2:00 PM hour departing from Gora Station to Sounzan Station.
Reservations are available for the first 30 passengers per train (regular capacity 200 passengers).
After passengers with reservations enter the platform, general passengers will be allowed to enter.
*Seating is not guaranteed.
2. Implementation station: Gora Station *Will not be implemented at Sounzan Station.
3. Reservation method: Reservations will be accepted on Hakone Navi from 10:00 AM on April 17 (Fri).
(3) Hakone Ropeway
1. Implementation time: From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Up to 60 passengers can be reserved every 15 minutes.
2. Implementation stations: Sounzan Station, Togendai Station *Will not be implemented at Owakudani Station.
3. Reservation method: Reservations will be accepted on Hakone Navi from 10:00 AM on April 17 (Fri).

3. Hakone Ropeway Owakudani Station "Time Select Pass" (Distribution of time-specified numbered tickets)
(1) Implementation period: May 5, 2026
(2) Implementation time: From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. About 300 numbered tickets will be issued every 20 minutes.
(3) Implementation section: Owakudani to Ubako/Togendai *Will not be implemented between Owakudani and Sounzan.
(4) Implementation method: Select an entry time at the dedicated booth in front of the Owakudani Station ticket gate, issue a numbered ticket, and enjoy sightseeing in Owakudani. Please come to the ticket gate after your specified time. *There is a waiting time from passing the ticket gate until boarding.
