Made with soft, elastic mochi from premium Chiba-grown glutinous rice, pounded the traditional way with mortar and pestle, and generously filled with our special zunda paste.

Ogashi no Taiyou’s daifuku follows traditional, authentic methods, with skilled artisans carefully crafting each piece using 'steaming' and 'pounding'.
First, premium Chiba-grown glutinous rice is slowly steamed in bamboo steamers. The hot, freshly steamed rice is immediately transferred to a traditional mortar while still piping hot. The artisan carefully judges the dough’s condition, gradually adding water to adjust smoothness, and powerfully pounds the rice until every grain is completely broken down.
