Russell Hobbs was founded in the UK in 1952 by Bill Russell and Peter Hobbs. In 1955, Russell Hobbs launched the 'K1' electric kettle, the first to feature an 'automatic power-off function' that switches off when water boils. Subsequently, in 1960, the 'K2' model was introduced. With this product, combining ease of use and beauty, Russell Hobbs achieved great success, and electric kettles rapidly became widespread in people's lives. As a result, Russell Hobbs became known as one of the world's leading electric kettle brands.

Furthermore, Russell Hobbs electric kettles, due to their high design and functionality, are widely used and loved in Japan, including in guest rooms of many foreign-affiliated hotels, ryokans, and restaurants.
