Labtama Contracted for 'Food and Agriculture Innovation Hub' Research for Saitama Prefecture's Northern Base

Regional Design Lab Saitama (President: Takafumi Sonoda, hereinafter "Labtama"), a member of the Resona Group, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by Saitama Prefecture on April 9, 2026, for the "Research and Examination Services for the 'Food and Agriculture Innovation Hub' at the Northern Regional Promotion and Exchange Base."

### Project Background
The Northern Regional Promotion and Exchange Base (hereinafter "Northern Base"), which Saitama Prefecture is developing in Kumagaya City, is being built based on the Northern Regional Promotion and Exchange Base Basic Plan (formulated on April 30, 2026). It will consist of two different functional facilities: Building A (provisional name), which will house "regional revitalization functions," and Building B, which will house "leading model functions for the future prefectural office."

Building A's industrial promotion facility will be developed as a "Food and Agriculture Innovation Hub," leveraging the characteristics of the northern region, one of the prefecture's leading agricultural areas. This project involves conducting needs surveys with food and agriculture-related companies and farmers, as well as questionnaires with tenants of other incubation facilities, to examine necessary measures for each target audience and determine the ideal form of the industrial promotion facility.

### Business Scope
In this project, Labtama will be responsible for the following tasks:
(1) Needs survey for stakeholders of the "Food and Agriculture Innovation Hub"
(2) Questionnaire survey for tenants of incubation facilities
(3) Proposal of necessary measures for each user type
(4) Support services for the examination of industrial promotion facilities

### Future Outlook
Labtama will utilize the expertise gained from previous public-private partnership (PPP) projects and the broad network of the Resona Group to make effective proposals for the ideal state of the Northern Base's industrial promotion facilities. By reflecting the needs of various stakeholders identified through hearings, sounding surveys, and basic plan formulation support conducted to date, Labtama aims to perform effective examinations and proposals to maximize the value of the Northern Base.
