Okage Yokocho to Host Commemorative Event '4th ISEKADO × Okage Yokocho Beer Garden' in Celebration of Kazahimi Festival

Okage Yokocho, operated by Ise Fukku Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Ise City, Mie Prefecture; President & CEO: Tomoe Hamada), will host the summer tradition '4th ISEKADO × Okage Yokocho Beer Garden' on Saturday, August 8, 2026 (Reiwa 8).

This event is held in celebration of the 'Kazahimi Festival (Kazahimi-no-matsuri)', a sacred Shinto ritual held at Ise Jingu on August 4, praying for favorable weather and bountiful harvests during the crop growing season.

A Summer Tradition Loved by Many: The Beer Garden

Okage Yokocho will offer a festive gathering to honor the blessings of nature by dedicating craft beer brewed from barley—one of the five sacred grains—to Ise Jingu, and sharing the joy with visitors.

On the day, guests can enjoy a wide variety of ISEKADO craft beers, special dishes from Okage Yokocho’s restaurants that pair perfectly with beer, food stalls from Iga no Sato Mokumoku Handmade Farm, and live music performances.

Over 20 Craft Beers on Offer

More than 20 craft beers, including ISEKADO’s flagship 'Classic PALE ALE', will be available. Guests are invited to savor and compare these brews alongside Okage Yokocho’s local cuisine.

Exclusive draft-only beers will also be available for tasting.

Limited-Edition Brew: 'Lemon Okage Summer' Launch

In collaboration with ISEKADO, Okage Yokocho will release a limited-edition beer with a special label: 'Lemon Okage Summer'.

This refreshing lemon-flavored lager uses Meyer lemons and features a light body, crisp acidity, and a subtle sweetness—perfect for the hot summer. It is an exclusive product available only at Okage Yokocho.

The label features the iconic beckoning cat of Okage Yokocho.

Special Talk by ISEKADO Founder: Shigemune Suzuki

A special talk session will be held by Shigemune Suzuki, the 21st-generation head of Futatsuya Mochi Kakuya Main Store and founder of the craft beer brand ISEKADO. He will share his passion for brewing and the journey of 'From Ise to the World', now spanning 11 countries and regions.

Okage Yokocho

Located in front of the Inner Shrine of Ise Jingu, Okage Yokocho is a traditional-style shopping street established in 1993, housing over 50 shops. Recreating the atmosphere of the Ise region from the Edo to Meiji periods, it offers visitors a chance to experience local cuisine, crafts, and history. Seasonal events, authentic architecture, curated local products, and traditional dishes attract approximately 5 million visitors annually.
