The SANGO Fes Executive Committee will hold 'SANGO FES 2026' for two days on Saturday, June 6th and Sunday, June 7th, 2026, at SANGO, a stay-type complex facility in Haruka-cho, Otaru City, Hokkaido. This will be the first time this event is held.

This event expands upon those previously held by Sangou Construction (Headquarters: Sapporo, Hokkaido; Representative Director: Hiroki Tanaka) for their housing owners, making it open to local residents and general visitors. It aims to propose an experience of 'enjoying Hokkaido living' through food, music, outdoor activities, workshops, and markets.

Two days to enjoy 'Hokkaido living' more freely

Sangou Construction has, until now, proposed Hokkaido living through house building.

The 'SANGO FES 2026' event is planned as a venue where one can experience 'Hokkaido-like living' that extends beyond the framework of a house, encompassing nature, food, people, and culture.

The venue, 'SANGO', is a stay-type complex facility developed in Haruka-cho, Otaru City, based on the concept of 'a mountain where Hokkaido living gathers'. Over these two days, people from the community, housing owners, exhibitors, creators, and travelers will interact on this stage, where villas, commercial buildings, and outdoor spaces are loosely connected.

Two venues: 'SANGO' and 'Snow Cruise ONS'

The event will be held at two venues: the SANGO area and the adjacent ski resort 'Snow Cruise ONS'.

Both venues will feature food and drink, markets, music, and workshops. The ONS venue will offer enhanced stage events and family-friendly content. The SANGO venue will have content that allows visitors to feel closer to nature.

Furthermore, aligning with the timing of the local traditional event 'Haruka Inari Shrine Grand Festival', fireworks will be launched on the evening of Saturday, June 6th, at the ONS venue, and a portable shrine (mikoshi) is scheduled to visit the venue on the afternoon of Sunday, June 7th.

Diverse content to feel the Hokkaido lifestyle

Shops, creators, and restaurants active throughout Hokkaido will gather at the venue.

Exhibitors will include housing owners from the 35GROUP and individuals connected through the free paper 35MAGAZINE, aiming to develop not just an event, but a community space born from human relationships.

In addition, participatory content such as art workshops and DJ experiences will be planned for all ages, from children to adults.

SANGO as a place to experience 'living'

SANGO is a place themed 'a mountain where Hokkaido living gathers'.

In the natural environment of Haruka, where forest and sea are close, we are creating a place where one can experience Hokkaido living itself through architecture, food, sauna, scenery, and engagement with the local community.

This festival aims to be an opportunity to experience this philosophy in a more open form.

■ About 'SANGO'

SANGO is a stay-type complex facility that grand opened on May 23, 2025, in Haruka-cho, Otaru City, Hokkaido, based on the concept of 'a mountain where Hokkaido living gathers'.

It features five villas themed 'staying as if living', commercial buildings and shops that disseminate local food and culture, a calligrapher's gallery, and arbors/decks where visitors can relax. All buildings extensively use Hokkaido-grown timber such as Larch, Oak, Ash, and Southern Hokkaido Cedar. In addition to Hokkaido timber, local materials like Sapporo soft stone are used to create architecture that quietly blends into the natural landscape of Haruka.

Sangou Construction, which handles planning, design, construction, leasing, operation, and facility management consistently within its own group, is creating a place that grows with the community even after the completion of the architecture.
