On June 19, 2026, Shokokusha will publish the book 'Liberating Architecture with Digital Twins: Connecting BIM Beyond Manufacturing'.

This book reconnects architectural information that has traditionally been fragmented across design, construction, and operation phases, reimagining spaces not merely as 'things to be built' but as 'entities to be cultivated through use'.

Drawing from our years of hands-on experience at Workpath, we have compiled a comprehensive guide that traces the concepts of digital twins and BIM from foundational principles to practical applications.

We hope this book reaches not only those already engaged with BIM and digital twins, but also those who have heard the terms but are unsure where to begin. We believe it can serve as a valuable starting point for practitioners in architecture, interior design, and real estate, as well as for students aspiring to enter the industry, inspiring new ways of thinking about future spatial creation.

[Book Launch Event]

To commemorate the publication, we will host a launch event on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

The event will feature a talk session led by the authors, followed by a networking reception. The talk session will be in a Q&A format, addressing questions and concerns submitted in advance by attendees, while also covering key content from the book.

As the book will have just been released, many attendees may not have had the chance to read it yet. This event does not assume prior reading, so anyone interested in BIM or digital twins is welcome to join.

We especially welcome simple, honest questions such as 'I want to start learning' or 'I'd like to know how my company can apply this'—questions that arise precisely because you haven't read it yet. After the session, there will be time for open networking and informal conversations among participants.

Speakers Ikku Hirose (Workpath) / Author Tsutomu Noguchi (Workpath) / Author Jun Kato (Kazana Inc.) / Moderator
