About "Saiyo Ultra Camp"
The concept of Saiyo Ultra Camp is "Let's open up and go beyond 'recruitment'." We offer a wide range of content that allows participants to re-examine recruitment concepts and methods from multiple perspectives with experts from various fields such as marketing, branding, finance, sales, public relations, design, and AI, and to find insights that go beyond recruitment.
The first event (held in Kyoto) in 2025 brought together approximately 1,300 recruitment professionals, executives/CHROs, and recorded a participant satisfaction rate of 95.5%. It was highly acclaimed as a venue for updating "recruitment."
This year, the second event, is expected to attract around 2,000 attendees across two venues in Kyoto and Fukuoka, creating one of Japan's largest recruitment communities.
Session Overview
*This announcement is for the "Kyoto Venue" session to be held on October 14, 2026 (Wed.).
This fourth release of information introduces the following two sessions:
1 How to Elevate the Priority of "People" in Management ~What is the Ideal Distance Between CHRO and the Front Lines for Reform?~
Overview: Almost all companies proclaim that "people are the most important." In recent years, with increasing difficulty in recruitment and management, many companies emphasize the significant challenges related to human resources. However, has the priority of people-related issues in management truly increased? In this session, companies that are actually carrying out "people-centric reforms" through the collaboration of CHROs and the front lines will share their stories of the ideal collaboration between management and the front lines.
Time: 12:50 PM - 1:30 PM
Venue: Stage E
Speakers:
Masayuki Nishida (Senior Managing Executive Officer, CHRO, and General Manager of HR Strategy Division, YKK AP Inc.)
Began his career in the financial sector in 1987. After studying abroad in the U.S., he was involved in fund management, corporate financial sales, and business development at domestic and international investment firms. In 2004, he moved to Mercer, shifting his focus to HR and management, where he served as Director and COO. Subsequently, he served as CHRO for Lifenet Insurance Company, Cainz Corporation, and BrainPad Inc., and took his current position in June 2025. Certified Member of the Securities Analysts Association of Japan. Certified MBTI User, Member of Makubetsu Town Forestry Cooperative.
Yusuke Tanaka (General Manager, Recruitment Strategy Department, HR Operations Division, HR Strategy Division, YKK AP Inc.)

As a consultant, he primarily supported the manufacturing industry, then gained experience as head of new graduate recruitment in HR. He then led the launch of new businesses on the business side. 2 Learning from Small but Chosen Mid-sized Companies: How to Create Narratives ~Overcoming the Barriers of Name Recognition and Compensation. What is the Culture of a Chosen Organization?~
Overview: Salary, benefits, name recognition. Recruitment, where victory is decided by comparing specifications, has been said to favor companies with strong capital. However, today's talented young people are not looking for good conditions, but rather participation in the unique, underlying story (narrative) of the company. In this session, Mr. Okamura of Ueda Honsha, which has a history of approximately 90 years and embodies "management that emphasizes individuality" with the strengths of a mid-sized company, and Mr. Inoue of KESIKI, who redefines organizations through culture design after working at McKinsey, will discuss how to create a company's raison d'être and how to generate narratives to become a chosen company.
