Metallo-Balance Test for Cancer Risk Assessment with Just 6mL of Blood to Launch at 3 Clinics in Inashiki City and Ami Town, Ibaraki Prefecture, Starting July 2026

Renatech, Inc. (headquartered in Isehara City, Kanagawa Prefecture), which develops health indicators based on trace elements and applies them in real-world settings, announces the launch of its self-developed and provided screening test, the 'Metallo-Balance Test,' which evaluates the risk of cancer and MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment). Starting July 2026, the test will be newly available at three clinics operated by the medical corporation Jinseikai: Ami Dai-ichi Clinic and Kokoro to Nō Clinic (both in Ami Town, Inashiki District, Ibaraki Prefecture), and Sakura Clinic (Inashiki City, Ibaraki Prefecture). (Note: Only the 'cancer risk test' will be conducted at these three clinics.)

With the addition of these three clinics, the testing infrastructure for the 'Metallo-Balance Test' in the Inashiki City and Ami Town area of Ibaraki Prefecture will be further enhanced, providing local residents with a more accessible and innovative option for health management.

We aim to partner with medical institutions nationwide so that more people can become interested in their health and gain motivation to review their daily health management and lifestyle habits as part of pre-disease care.

■ What is the Metallo-Balance (MB) Test?

The Metallo-Balance Test is a risk screening (triage) test that objectively evaluates the risk of cancer and MCI (Mild Cognitive Impairment) at the time of blood draw by analyzing the concentration balance of 17 trace elements (metal elements) in the blood.

【Features of the Test】

Only one 6mL blood draw: Blood is safely collected under the proper management of medical institutions. The test takes approximately 15 minutes, minimizing physical burden and ensuring safety.

Site-specific 'Cancer Risk Test': With a single blood draw, cancer risk is evaluated site-by-site (6 sites for men, 9 sites for women) and scored on a four-tier scale from A to D.

Proven research achievements and domestic/international recognition: Developed through joint research with Kanagawa Prefectural Cancer Center and Chiba Prefectural Cancer Center, supported by a research grant from the METI Go-Tech program. Patented in nine countries including Japan, with over 100,000 test-takers cumulatively (from April 2019 to March 2026).

■ Testing Process and Key Pre-Test Instructions

※ Due to the need for document mailing procedures, advance registration is required approximately three weeks before the desired test date (by complete reservation system).

Registration: Please register via the website or by phone. Approximately one week before your appointment, the full set of test documents will be delivered to your home.

Test Day (Blood Draw): As the test is fully reserved, blood draw will proceed smoothly (takes about 15 minutes). Payment will be made via convenience store post-payment, so there is no need for on-site payment at the clinic.

Results Notification: Approximately three weeks after blood draw, the invoice (payment slip) will be mailed to your home, followed by the test results approximately five weeks later.

【Key Pre-Test Instructions】

Food and Alcohol: No food after 9:00 PM the previous day. No alcohol from the previous day onward.
Hydration: Please drink plenty of water to facilitate blood draw.

Medications and Supplements: Over-the-counter medications and supplements must not be taken from the previous day onward. Prescription medications should be taken as usual.

This test is not covered by health insurance and is offered as a private-pay service. Please choose from the following options based on your preference.

Cancer Risk Test: Japanese nationals aged 20 to 80

※ This test was developed based on data from Japanese individuals within the specified age range. While individuals outside this age range or non-Japanese nationals may still take the test, the results will be considered 'reference values' only. Please understand this in advance.

【Individuals Who Cannot Take the Test】

Pregnant individuals or those within six months postpartum

Individuals currently undergoing cancer treatment, or those who completed cancer treatment less than one year ago

Individuals undergoing dialysis

Individuals with fractures, blood disorders, or immunodeficiency (excluding lipid abnormalities such as high triglycerides)

Individuals in poor health (including lack of sleep, after an all-nighter, immediately after intense exercise, under severe stress, or experiencing symptoms such as cold, asthma, shingles, allergic rash, or allergic rhinitis)
