■ What is the Metalo-Balance (MB) Test?

The Metalo-Balance Test is a risk screening (triage) test that objectively evaluates the risk of cancer and MCI (mild cognitive impairment) at the time of blood draw by analyzing the concentration balance of 17 trace elements (metal elements) in the blood.

【Key Features of the Test】

Only one 6mL blood draw: Blood is collected safely under the proper management of medical institutions. The test takes approximately 15 minutes, minimizing physical burden and ensuring safety.

Organ-specific 'Cancer Risk Test': In a single blood draw, cancer risk is evaluated by organ (6 sites for men, 9 sites for women) and scored on a four-tier scale from A to D.

■ Testing Process and Key Precautions

※ Due to the need for document mailing procedures, advance registration is required approximately three weeks before the desired test date (by appointment only).

Registration: Please register via the website or by phone. Approximately one week before your appointment, the full set of test documents will be delivered to your home.

Test Day (Blood Draw): As the test is by appointment only, blood draw will proceed smoothly (takes about 15 minutes). Payment is via convenience store post-payment, so no on-site payment is required.

Results Notification: Your invoice (payment slip) will be mailed to your home approximately 3 weeks after blood draw, and your test results approximately 5 weeks later.

【Key Precautions Before Testing】

Food and Alcohol: No food after 9 PM the previous day. No alcohol from the previous day.
Hydration: Drink plenty of water to make blood draw easier.

Medications and Supplements: Over-the-counter medications and supplements must be discontinued from the previous day. Prescription medications should be taken as usual.

【Age Eligibility】

Cancer Risk Test: Japanese nationals aged 20 to 80

Cognitive Risk Test: Japanese nationals aged 50 to 80

※ This test was developed based on data from Japanese individuals within the above age ranges. While individuals outside these age groups or foreign nationals may still take the test, results will be considered 'reference values' only. Please understand this in advance.

【Individuals Who Cannot Take the Test】

Pregnant individuals or those within 6 months postpartum

Individuals currently undergoing cancer treatment, or within 1 year after completion of cancer treatment

Individuals on dialysis

Individuals with fractures, blood disorders, or immunodeficiency (excluding lipid disorders such as high triglycerides)

Individuals feeling unwell (lack of sleep, after an all-nighter, immediately after intense exercise, under severe stress, or experiencing symptoms such as cold, asthma, shingles, allergic rash, or allergic rhinitis)
