Lestas Inc. (Headquarters: Osaka City, Kita Ward, Osaka Prefecture; Representative Director: Susumu Owaki; hereinafter "the Company"), which promotes a rollup strategy centered on the vertical integration of its e-commerce operations platform and manufacturing/procurement functions, is pleased to announce the establishment of its new Tokyo office in the TOC Building (Gotanda), Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, on June 29, 2026. The Company is advancing an industry-specialized rollup model that combines the acquisition and integration of e-commerce companies with the in-house production of manufacturing functions, aiming for horizontal expansion not only in the name-engraved/original goods sector but also across all sectors where e-commerce x manufacturing vertical integration is effective. Additionally, the new headquarters of Asahi Sangyo Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Susumu Owaki; hereinafter "Asahi Sangyo"), which joined our group in April 2026, will also be located at this base, strengthening the group's operational foundation in Tokyo.
1. Background and Objectives for Establishing the Tokyo Office
The Company is promoting a rollup strategy that builds overwhelming cost competitiveness and supply systems within the industry by acquiring and integrating companies with e-commerce operation know-how, customer bases, and digital marketing functions, and vertically integrating manufacturing, processing, and logistics functions. The target areas are not limited to name-engraved/original goods, but also include adjacent sectors such as business supplies, promotional items, and uniforms where the integrated effects of e-commerce x manufacturing can be leveraged. The policy is to consolidate and strengthen the common infrastructure of each group company's e-commerce platform and manufacturing/procurement network. The establishment of the Tokyo office is positioned as a strategic base for fully launching the East Japan expansion of this rollup strategy. By establishing a base in East Japan, we will dynamically proceed from the discovery and relationship building of M&A target companies to deal execution.
Furthermore, this office will also function as a base for developing a supplier network in East Japan. By directly strengthening relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and partner companies in the Tokyo metropolitan area, we aim to expand our product lineup and improve our procurement capabilities, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of the entire group. The Gotanda area offers excellent transportation convenience with access to JR, Tokyo Metro, and Tokyu lines, making it ideal as a base for these sourcing and partner development activities.
In addition, by housing the new headquarters of Asahi Sangyo, which joined our group in April 2026, within the same building, we will establish a system where group companies can collaborate daily at the same location. Asahi Sangyo handles a wide range of business supplies, including uniforms, safety equipment, and promotional items, through its e-commerce site "Jamble." It serves as the first example of horizontal expansion for our group's e-commerce x manufacturing vertical integration model. By utilizing the customer base of over 90,000 companies and the supplier network of over 200 companies nationwide, cultivated by Asahi Sangyo over many years, as common assets for the group, we aim to accelerate decision-making and maximize group synergy.
