LUPICIA Switches All Tea Bag Filters to Biodegradable Materials

LUPICIA Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Niseko Town, Hokkaido, Representative Director: Hiroki Mizuguchi), a global tea specialty store, has fully switched the filters of all its tea bags to biodegradable materials for products manufactured on or after April 1, 2026.

Through the tea bags we deliver, LUPICIA aims to fulfill its environmental responsibilities. Therefore, we have adopted plant-derived biodegradable materials for our tea bag filters. By promoting decomposition in nature, we contribute to alleviating the marine plastic problem. This initiative seeks to minimize the impact of synthetic chemical materials on nature and soil, ensuring a rich environment where tea can be enjoyed for generations to come, 20 or 30 years from now.
