China's Dongguan Youhua Communications Establishes New Anechoic Chamber for Antenna Product Evaluation

YOCOE CO., LTD. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Katsuhira Yanagisawa) announces that its Chinese subsidiary, Dongguan Youhua Communications Accessories Co., Ltd. (Location: Guangdong Province, hereinafter referred to as DYT), has established a new anechoic chamber for evaluating antenna products. This initiative aims to strengthen the evaluation system for antenna products in the Chinese market for the automotive sector. The anechoic chamber began test operations in June and will commence full-scale operations at the end of June.

Previously, evaluation projects in China were handled by the measurement and analysis division at the Tomioka Plant in Tomioka City, Gunma Prefecture, with the results then fed back to China. However, in response to the growing demand from Chinese automotive manufacturers and Japanese automotive manufacturers based in China for rapid performance evaluation and quality confirmation of antenna products, an anechoic chamber has now been installed locally in China.

The anechoic chamber was introduced by DYT, which is responsible for antenna evaluation and analysis, and is installed within the factory premises of its manufacturing base, Dongguan Youhua Automotive Accessories Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as DYC). The anechoic chamber has an internal space of 4m (width) x 4m (depth) x 3.8m (height) and supports a frequency range of 400MHz to 8.5GHz. This will enable the measurement, evaluation, and product analysis of individual antennas used in automotive applications, such as GNSS, ETC, 4G, 5G, and V2X, to be completed locally in China.

Furthermore, DYT is also strengthening its technical capabilities in both electrical and mechanical engineering. In conjunction with this new equipment installation, YOCOE will enhance its customer support system through both facilities and personnel.
