Unitrand Awarded Contract for Cashless Payment System Implementation for Kariya City Community Bus Reorganization

Unitrand Inc., a subsidiary of Unirita specializing in transport DX, has been selected to provide the cashless payment infrastructure for the community bus service 'Karimaru' in Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture. This project is part of a major overhaul of the bus network and the introduction of a fare-based system scheduled for February 2026.

The system aims to enhance passenger convenience and operational efficiency. Key features include intuitive payment interfaces, citizen-specific discounts, and fare capping functions. Furthermore, the platform is designed with high scalability, anticipating future integrations with various administrative services and regional digital initiatives. Unitrand's proven track record in integrating My Number Cards for municipal services, such as in Sakaide City, will be instrumental in this project's success.
