The phrase "clench your teeth" once sounded like a ritual for injecting resolve and fighting spirit. When suppressing anger, swallowing regret, enduring injustice, or deciding not to show tears—we unconsciously clench our teeth under invisible pressure, even while sleeping.
Although bruxism (teeth grinding and clenching) is associated with stress, its mechanisms are still not fully elucidated.
This exhibition re-examines the enigmatic physical act of "clenching" from multiple perspectives. Is bruxism merely an abnormality? Or is it an act with meaning?
