Makemore Inc. (Location: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) announces that our representative, Motoki Suganuma, has been appointed Secretary-General of the Japan Association for Employment of Foreigners.
Mr. Suganuma has previously served as a director of the Japan Association for Employment of Foreigners, and in his new role as "Director and Secretary-General," he will dedicate himself to strengthening the association's operational structure and further developing its activities.
The Japan Association for Employment of Foreigners is an organization where companies, organizations, and experts involved in the employment of foreigners gather to work towards creating an environment where foreign human resources can appropriately thrive in Japanese society, through promoting understanding of systems, sharing on-site challenges, policy recommendations, information dissemination, and holding study groups and networking events.
Mr. Suganuma has been involved in the human resources business since 2006, undertaking a wide range of initiatives related to the employment of foreigners, including support for the recruitment and retention of foreign human resources, municipal projects, corporate seminars, and policy advocacy activities.
Since 2019, he has spoken at over 200 seminars and training sessions related to foreign employment. He has provided information to companies, municipalities, industry organizations, financial institutions, registered support organizations, and human resource companies on topics such as the practical aspects of employing foreigners, the residency status system, the Specified Skilled Worker program, the operation of registered support organizations, and support for the acceptance and retention of foreign human resources.
Furthermore, Makemore Inc. operates a membership-based community called the "Foreign Human Resources Business Study Group" for companies, experts, and practitioners involved in the foreign human resources business.
This study group provides practical information and professional networks related to the foreign human resources business through monthly study sessions, exchanges between experts and practitioners, a weekly newsletter, individual online meetings, and overseas inspection programs.
On July 22, 2026, as the first study session, a session is planned to learn about the past and future of accepting foreign human resources, with Ms. Seiko Sasaki, the first Commissioner of the Immigration Services Agency of Japan, as a guest.
Moving forward, as Director and Secretary-General of the association, Mr. Suganuma will promote activities aimed at solving practical issues surrounding the employment of foreigners and designing better systems, in collaboration with member companies, related organizations, government bodies, and experts.
Currently, approximately 160 companies and organizations are participating in the Japan Association for Employment of Foreigners.
We aim to reach 200 member companies within this fiscal year and will further strengthen activities such as sharing on-site challenges, promoting system understanding, policy recommendations, and information dissemination, while expanding collaboration with companies, organizations, and experts involved in the employment of foreigners.
Those interested in the acceptance and retention of foreign human resources, system understanding, policy recommendations, or building inter-company networks are welcome to inquire through our official website.
