Next-Generation Digital Fitness Machine 'LIGHT WEIGHT' Launches Sales in Japan

Miya Wellness Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce the launch of sales for the Korean-made next-generation digital weight machine 'LIGHT WEIGHT' as the official Japanese distributor, 'LIGHT WEIGHT JAPAN'.

The machine's key feature is its adoption of a cutting-edge motor system integrated with a tablet, replacing traditional metal weights.

Miya Wellness will also participate in the project by supporting operational planning and joint development.

Unlike conventional weight stack systems, LIGHT WEIGHT is a next-generation training system that enables digital load control. By connecting to a dedicated app, it records and manages training data, delivering an optimized training experience tailored to each individual user.

In recent years, the fitness industry has faced growing demands for operational efficiency and solutions to labor shortages, while users increasingly expect higher-quality and more sustainable training environments. LIGHT WEIGHT aims to address these industry challenges by introducing a new digital solution to the Japanese market.

Additionally, LIGHT WEIGHT will be exhibited at 'SPORTEC 2026', Japan's largest comprehensive sports and health industry exhibition, held at Tokyo Big Sight from July 7 (Wed) to 10 (Fri), 2026.

At the exhibition, visitors can experience the product firsthand and learn about its applications and benefits for the Japanese market.

Furthermore, a special seminar by Mr. Yuki Miyashita, CEO of Miya Wellness, is scheduled during the SPORTEC event. The seminar will cover future outlooks for the fitness industry and facility management strategies utilizing LIGHT WEIGHT.

LIGHT WEIGHT is a next-generation training system leveraging digital technology.

In addition to weight setting and training history management via a dedicated app, it features multiple load modes tailored to different training goals, providing an optimal training environment for users ranging from beginners to athletes.

Unlike previous digital machines that were integrated into the entire machine unit—requiring full replacement—LIGHT WEIGHT allows the weight module alone to be sold and installed. This enables low-cost upgrades for aging equipment or full facility renovations.

Currently, a CRM tool is under development, aiming to offer unique functionalities beyond existing digital machines by contributing to improved gym member retention and increased revenue.

In South Korea, LIGHT WEIGHT has already begun deployment in fitness clubs and medical fields.
