Meister Engineering Group (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Daisuke Hirano; hereinafter "the Company") is pleased to announce that NIES Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Masato Suzuki; hereinafter "NIES"), which operates a fire protection equipment installation business, has been welcomed into the Meister Engineering Group through a business and capital alliance as of March 30, 2026.

▶ Purpose of Welcoming into the "Technology Service Federation"

Our group's mission is to support the prerequisites for society's functioning, with two main segments: maintenance of "super critical infrastructure" (*1) such as lifelines, plants, and urban civil engineering, and "mechatronics" which broadly supports manufacturing industries including semiconductors, heavy electrical equipment, medical, and automotive-related fields.

However, in these areas, there is a progressing shortage and aging of skilled engineers who support the field. Even in the "disaster prevention" domain, which the Company positions as a part of super critical infrastructure, securing personnel for maintenance and construction is a major challenge amidst the increasing severity and frequency of disasters and the growing importance of equipment.

To address this social issue, the Company promotes a "Technology Service Federation" (*2) management model, where small and medium-sized enterprises with unique high technical capabilities are welcomed into the group. While respecting each company's autonomy, group resources are shared in aspects such as recruitment, training, and business DX, complementing each other. With NIES's participation in the group, the Company aims to further accelerate this federation concept and expand its service supply system, especially in the disaster prevention equipment business, which ensures the safety of social and economic life.

About Meister Engineering Group

Since its founding in 1974, Meister Engineering Group has been an engineer collective whose mission is to "support society through technology." It forms a "Technology Service Federation" (*2) where small and medium-sized enterprises with high technical capabilities gather and collaborate, aiming to connect the manufacturing and infrastructure that support people's daily lives and social/economic activities to the future.

*1 Super Critical Infrastructure: Regarding the 14 areas of "critical infrastructure fields" defined by the government, the Company uses the term "super critical infrastructure" because these are difficult to replace and their functional cessation or decline is expected to cause significant social disruption. Engineers in each company of our group are engaged in maintenance work that contributes to the functional maintenance and stable operation of super critical infrastructure on site.

*2 Technology Service Federation: Meister Engineering Group takes over the businesses of small and medium-sized enterprises with high technical capabilities and welcomes them as partners. Participating companies aim for mutual growth by leveraging their respective strengths, maintaining independence, and supporting and collaborating with each other, thereby building a federated management base.
