Micro Magazine (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) has released the second promotional video for the second season of the TV anime adaptation of its GC Novels series, 'Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs.' The new footage showcases the protagonist, Leon, facing turbulent developments as he is imprisoned for treason, alongside intense mecha battle scenes featuring armors like 'Arrogantz.' The video also features the first public preview of the opening theme song.
Simultaneously, detailed information regarding the theme songs and the participating artists was announced. The opening theme, titled 'Jinsei End Roll,' is performed by 'Ando,' a unique music unit consisting of three members: YouTuber Takeyaki Sho, voice actor Hirose Daisuke, and music producer ANCHOR. The ending theme, 'Ashita wa Ashita no Keserasera!,' is performed by 'Meisho Hikokai,' a five-member music group boasting over 1.2 million total followers across social media platforms. Both tracks are written, composed, and arranged by ANCHOR, and will be available on various music streaming services starting at midnight on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
Takeyaki Sho of Ando commented, 'I empathized with the protagonist's rebellious spirit and drive, having pursued unconventional challenges in my own YouTube career. I tried to infuse that resolve into the song's fast-paced rhythm.' Hirose Daisuke noted, 'The band sound is energetic, and the lyrics are scattered with elements that reflect the world of the series.' ANCHOR added, 'I packed all my feelings about our first anime theme song into the track.'
'Meisho Hikokai,' responsible for the ending theme, shared, 'It is a highly energetic song designed to encourage the characters even during difficult scenes. ANCHOR has secretly sprinkled keywords from the series and character names into the lyrics.'
Furthermore, to commemorate the start of the second season broadcast on Wednesday, July 8, it was announced that a rebroadcast of the first season will take place.
