Pottech Announces "AI Karte," an AI-Native Integrated Claims Computing and Electronic Health Record System

Pottech Inc. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Takuma Arimura) has announced "AI Karte," an AI-native integrated claims computing and electronic health record (EHR) system, and today begins recruiting initial partner medical institutions. This service re-establishes claims computing and EHRs, traditionally separate, as a single product from the ground up, enabling medical institutions to fully utilize AI. It features an "open" design that allows flexible connection with external AI services and in-hospital systems, serving as a foundation for medical institutions to combine and utilize AI and business systems tailored to their own needs.

■ What is "AI Karte"?

"AI Karte" is a next-generation AI-native EHR developed for clinics and medical corporations. Its biggest feature is the re-establishment of claims computing (receipt computer) and EHR not as separate systems, but as a single integrated product.

Previous EHRs were generally designed to have AI functions "added on later." "AI Karte," conversely, is designed from scratch with the premise that AI naturally intervenes in all processes of diagnosis, recording, and billing, from data structure and user experience to integration interfaces.

■ Three Design Points

AI-Native Design
Clinical records, prescriptions, and accounting data are maintained in a structure that is easy for AI to handle. It was designed with AI in mind from the beginning, not as an afterthought.

Integrated Re-establishment of Claims Computing and EHR
Claims computing functions and EHR, which were traditionally often provided separately, are integrated into a single architecture. This structurally resolves the problems of duplicate entry and consistency issues between clinical records and billing information.

"Open" Design for Flexible Connection with External AI and In-Hospital Systems
The EHR is not a closed system but has a structure that allows secure connection with other systems and external AI services as needed. This enables medical institutions to flexibly combine and utilize AI and business systems that align with their own policies. (Technical specifications: In addition to standard APIs, it also supports MCP / Model Context Protocol, a connection standard for generative AI agents.)

To refine the functions and operation of "AI Karte" together with actual clinical settings, we are recruiting initial partner medical institutions.
