Rinne no Yu's "Shobu-yu" Rinne no Yu is a hot spring facility located within a botanical garden. Because it is a place where people can enjoy plants, one of its charms is the ability to enjoy seasonal baths utilizing plants unique to Japan. Shobu-yu, popular during Children's Day (Tango no Sekku), has been handed down as a Japanese custom to ward off evil and pray for good health since ancient times. Irises are considered a medicinal herb that wards off evil spirits, and it is said that taking an iris bath helps one stay healthy through the hot summer.

In cooperation with local farmers, staff visit the farms to harvest and carefully prepare the locally grown irises to be floated in the baths. Both day-trip visitors and overnight guests during the period are invited to enjoy Rinne no Yu's Shobu-yu.
