The 'Onsen' of Shikanoyu, which has continued to flow since the opening of Jozankei Onsen and is hailed as the only famously named bath in the hot spring town. And the 'Sauna', which has continued to captivate since its birth in 2022 with a loyly that generates a massive amount of steam and a natural stream-water bath from the source of the Toyohira River. The two major factions representing our facility will clash on the stage of Jozankei, beautiful with fresh greenery. Not only overnight guests but also day-trip bathers can participate. Opened in 1897, a blessing of the earth that has continued to spring since ancient times. A blissful bathing experience in the famous hot spring where wild deer are said to have healed their wounds, adjusted to the most comfortable state according to the season and outside temperature by the delicate handiwork of the bath keeper.
(2) Sauna Faction
Born in December 2022 and continuing to evolve, the supreme sauna. The massive amount of steam from the astonishing 45-second loyly, the luxurious natural stream-water bath drawn from the source of the Toyohira River, and the open-air relaxation in the steam provide an ultimate refreshing experience.

○ Large Public Bath 'Shikanoyu'
Equipped with the famous hot spring where wild deer are said to have healed their wounds, as well as an authentic sauna born in 2022 and a natural stream-water bath from the source of the Toyohira River. For all bathtubs in the large public bath, the bath keeper delicately balances by hand, carefully adjusting the water volume and temperature considering differences in perceived temperature due to the season and outside temperature. With craftsmanship that derives the most comfortable condition for customers in an ever-changing environment, and gratitude for the blessings of the earth in our hearts, we strive to create the best bath today as well.

Opened in 1897. Opened as the 3rd inn in Jozankei and is the oldest inn still in operation today. Approximately 50 minutes by car from central Sapporo, nestled in the center of the hot spring town, offering an excellent location overlooking the mountains of the national park and the valley of the Toyohira River. Equipped with 170 guest rooms, famous hot springs, and an authentic sauna.
