Hotel New Awaji Group to Open Two Luxury Resort Hotels on Awaji Island, Strengthening Efforts to Attract Wealthy International Tourists - Grand Opening Scheduled for January 2027

Hotel New Awaji Group (Headquarters: Sumoto City, Hyogo Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Manabu Kinoshita), which operates 20 group hotels in Western Japan, will open new hotels offering high-class services in the East Coast and West Coast areas of Awaji Island in January 2027.

### Sumoto City Komoego Coast Hotel Project (Kogaya, Sumoto City, Hyogo Prefecture)

This will be a luxury hotel, the highest class of the Hotel New Awaji Group. In addition to the 4 rooms completed in the first phase of construction, a new 6-story building with 21 guest rooms will be constructed, featuring open-air hot spring baths on terraces overlooking the Kitan Strait on Awaji Island's east coast, for a total of 25 guest rooms. The grand opening is planned for a total of 25 rooms. The Japanese and Western-style suite rooms, each over 100 square meters, offer guests the pleasure of private hot springs in their own baths, as well as the enjoyment of visiting the diverse hot spring grand baths of the group hotels lined along the coastline. In addition to an open kitchen dining area that provides a culinary experience showcasing the skills and presentation perfected by Hotel New Awaji Group, renowned for its Japanese and Western cuisine utilizing Awaji Island's abundant ingredients, the top floor will also feature a guest lounge with an exceptional sense of openness and a roof terrace.

Average accommodation fees per room are expected to be around 300,000 yen per night. The aim is to provide top-class facilities and services that can satisfy the needs of diverse guests, including multi-generational family trips from nearby areas, long-term stays in the Kansai region from the Tokyo metropolitan area, and especially affluent inbound tourists whose numbers are expected to increase with the launch of charter flights accompanying the internationalization of Kobe Airport and the target of regular international flights by April 2030.

### Minamiawaji City Keino Matsubara Hotel Project (Matsuo, Minamiawaji City, Hyogo Prefecture)

This will be the Hotel New Awaji Group's first all-inclusive hotel. On a luxurious 13,000 square meter site facing Keino Matsubara, a scenic area on Awaji Island's west coast famous for its sunsets, the hotel will feature only 36 guest rooms in an accommodation building (3 stories), a dining and hot spring grand bath building (2 stories), two villa-type guest rooms, and a beachfront pool. This all-inclusive model covers food and beverage expenses, and facility usage fees within the accommodation charges, with standard guest rooms averaging around 50 square meters and an average price of just under 90,000 yen per room per night.

Starting with an all-day dining service that offers Awaji Island's ingredients tailored to each scene from check-in to check-out, the hot spring grand bath featuring Uzushio Onsen 'Shio no Yu' is fully equipped with saunas and cold baths. Adjacent fitness facilities, along with walks and runs along the 2.5-kilometer stretch of white sand and pine trees feeling the sea breeze, help guests relax their bodies, creating an environment for a wellness stay where mind and body are rejuvenated and liberated.

In addition to traditional customer segments such as couples, families, and group travelers, this hotel is also suitable for domestic and international guests seeking relaxed long-term stays in the beautiful environment woven by the Seto Inland Sea and Keino Matsubara, immortalized in the Man'yoshu anthology, while experiencing Awaji Island's culture and traditions through programs collaborating with traditional industries and agriculture/fisheries.

The total project cost for these two projects combined is estimated to be around 9 billion yen, the largest in Hotel New Awaji Group's history, of which approximately 2.64 billion yen will utilize the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's Large-Scale Growth Investment Subsidy for medium and small enterprises. Furthermore, the Sumoto City Komoego Coast Project plans to receive benefits such as fixed asset tax exemptions based on the city's corporate attraction ordinance.
