Prago's EV Chargers Now Compatible with TOYOTA Wallet's "EV Charging Service"

Prago Inc. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Naoki Okawa; hereinafter "Prago") is pleased to announce that its EV chargers are now compatible with the "EV Charging Service" mini-app function within the smartphone payment app "TOYOTA Wallet," provided by Toyota Financial Services Corporation and Toyota Finance Corporation.

This integration allows users to utilize Prago's chargers through the EV Charging Service on TOYOTA Wallet. Combined with the existing charging network, EV users will be able to access a wider range of charging spots starting from TOYOTA Wallet.

Overview

Prago's purpose is to "Create a Future Worth Continuing," and it provides EV charging infrastructure development and operation, as well as the charging service "My Prago."

Through this collaboration, the My Prago charging network is now compatible with TOYOTA Wallet's EV Charging Service, enabling users to access Prago's chargers directly from TOYOTA Wallet without the need for new app registration or membership procedures.

Users can simply launch TOYOTA Wallet's "EV Charging Service," search for a charger on the map, and scan the QR code on-site to begin charging. Payment is completed using the payment methods registered in TOYOTA Wallet.

Purpose of this Collaboration

For EVs to be chosen and continuously used, it is essential that "charging is simple, intuitive, and integrated into daily life."

Prago has been working to improve convenience for EV users through UX design for the charging experience and by expanding charging experiences through collaborations with external services.

This collaboration with TOYOTA Wallet is an initiative to evolve EV charging from a special operation or restrictive act into a "continuable experience" that feels natural.

By providing an environment where Prago's chargers can be used from TOYOTA Wallet, we aim to realize a charging experience that is more accessible and user-friendly for EV users.

Furthermore, this integration is realized based on Prago's Hub system, which supports connections with external services utilizing the OCPI protocol.

Through this platform, we will consider expanding the charging network available from TOYOTA Wallet, with a view to extending connections with existing partners and various EV charging service providers through Prago in the future.

This will enable flexible integration not only with My Prago users but also with businesses for whom Prago provides solutions including white-label app provision and charger management/operation, and even with businesses that are not directly supported by us in the future.

Prago will continue to aim for a future where EVs become established in society and are sustainably chosen, by collaborating with diverse businesses that provide EV charging services.
