Petit Bateau and Paris National Opera's First Collaboration: Limited Collection Expressing 'Freedom of Movement' Inspired by Ballet

Petit Bateau will release its first capsule collection in collaboration with the Paris National Opera (Opéra national de Paris) on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. This encounter between France's iconic brand and cultural institution fuses 'freedom of movement' with the graceful physical expression of ballet and the vitality of childhood. The collection brings together the elegance of opera dancers and the playful world of Petit Bateau. Over 100 years ago, Petit Bateau achieved 'freedom of movement' by improving long undergarments to create the prototype for modern panties. Meanwhile, the Paris Opera is world-renowned as a pinnacle of ballet, with the Palais Garnier serving as a symbol of dance and art for over 150 years. Their shared commitment to bodily movement is the origin of this collection.

The collection features designs inspired by ballet and art. Lightweight, soft materials beautifully enhance movement, seamlessly transitioning from daily life to the stage. Watercolor prints depicting Paris cityscapes serve as an homage to the ceiling paintings of the Palais Garnier. The lineup includes sweatshirts, T-shirts, tank tops, leggings, tulle skirts, and cache-coeurs (wrap tops). The watercolor prints are also featured on underwear and nightwear, making it a collection for the whole family.
