Hoosiers Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Eiichi Ogawa) today hosted an inauguration event and press conference for the opening of the condominium gallery (located at 1-9 Tatemachi, Kita-ku, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture) for 'Duo Hills Okayama Omotecho Tower' (232 units total), part of the 'Okayama Omotecho 3-chome 15-ban District Type 1 Urban Redevelopment Project.'
This project is being advanced as an urban redevelopment initiative aimed at revitalizing the local area, including the former site of the '3-chome Theater' in Okayama's Omotecho 3-chome district. The urban redevelopment association was established in 2020, and after receiving approval for the rights conversion plan in April 2025, demolition of existing buildings has been completed. The site is adjacent to 'Omotecho Shopping Street,' Okayama City's largest commercial district, home to major retailers such as Tenmaya Department Store. While preserving the area's historical legacy as a castle town, the project aims to create a new vibrant and relaxing hub that connects the city and its people.
The lower floors of the residential building will feature shops, service facilities, and a rooftop garden—spaces designed to attract and welcome visitors. On the 3rd floor, a publicly accessible 'Community Exchange Lounge' will include a work lounge and meeting rooms, fostering local interaction and vibrancy. In the event of a disaster, this space is also planned to serve as a temporary evacuation center.
The condominium units are situated in the heart of Omotecho's downtown, yet offer a calm and sophisticated living environment. Designed with privacy and comfort in mind, the units feature interior corridor layouts and garbage stations on every floor to support daily life. The entrance lobby features a two-story atrium, creating a spacious and welcoming atmosphere.
The 24-story tower comprises 232 residential units. The condominium gallery will open on July 18 (Saturday). To date, approximately 500 information requests have been received within just two months, reflecting strong public interest in the development.
Through this condominium project, we aim to create a new community hub and contribute to enhancing the appeal of the Omotecho district.
