Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA) and Chubu International Medical Center have partnered to address regional healthcare disparities in Japan. They are launching an initiative offering convenient travel packages for patients in regional areas, starting with a route from Aomori to Nagoya, to access advanced medical treatments. Specifically, the program targets patients suffering from hand and foot tremors, such as Parkinson's disease, allowing them to receive minimally invasive Focused Ultrasound (FUS) treatment covered by insurance. By easing travel and accommodation burdens, this partnership ensures that patients in rural areas do not have to give up on high-quality care, with plans to expand the service to other routes and treatments like proton therapy for cancer in the future.
