Fukoku Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Ageo City, Saitama Prefecture) announces that its proposed technical challenge, "Vibration Damping Mechanism Usable in Wide Temperature Ranges," has been selected for the "SX Core Area Development Research*" technical development theme within JAXA's (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) Space Strategic Fund Project.

**Aims for Achievement**
* **Establishment of a foundation to "deliver without damage and use stably" various onboard items from launch to lunar operations.**
Based on its accumulated development achievements in vibration damping technology for rockets and satellites, Fukoku will build a vibration damping function that can consistently protect onboard equipment from launch environments to orbit. Furthermore, it will establish vibration damping technology that functions even in extreme environments such as cryogenic temperatures and high radiation, which are difficult for conventional rubber materials to handle.

**Research and Development Content**
* **Development of High-G compatible non-linear rubber isolators (Applicable range: -40℃ to 110℃)**
These isolators will exhibit vibration damping functionality during launch (1G) and ensure structural stability of onboard items in orbit (0G).
Products using Space Silicone Rubber®* (Trademark Registration No. 6956327)
*Our independently developed space-adapted silicone rubber

* **Development of cryogenic-compatible wire isolators (Applicable range: -170℃ to 110℃)**
These will exhibit mechanical properties similar to those on Earth even in cryogenic and high-radiation environments where rubber materials are difficult to use.
Intended for use outside spacecraft and on the lunar surface, protecting onboard items from impact events such as lunar landings.

**Future Goals**
Through this research and development, Fukoku aims to establish vibration damping solutions compatible with satellites, rockets, and lunar exploration missions. It will continue to contribute to improving safety and reliability in the space sector and to the development of Japan's space industry foundation.
