The standard ceiling height in new Japanese homes is approximately 2.4 meters, which is generally lower than in Europe and the US (approximately 2.7-3.0 meters). Consequently, conventional ceiling fan lights can create a visual sense of oppression. Furthermore, many common small ceiling fan lights tend to produce noticeable noise when operated at high speeds.

In addition, while interest in voice-controlled smart appliances is growing, most require Wi-Fi connection, app installation, or registration with cloud services. This setup complexity and reliance on internet connectivity pose adoption barriers for users.

LumoAir has been the subject of approximately two years of research and development to address these three challenges: "loss of spatial aesthetics," "noise associated with high airflow," and "complexity of voice control setup," leading to its current productization.

LumoAir is a ceiling fan light that integrates "lighting," "air circulation," "air flow," and "voice control." When the fan is stopped, it functions as a slim LED ceiling light, approximately 23cm thick, blending into the ceiling. Upon activation, the blades quietly deploy to form a large fan with a diameter of 109cm. By consolidating diverse functions such as main lighting, indirect lighting, airflow, circulator, and voice control into an easy-to-use package, this product enhances the comfort of living spaces.

Designed with space performance in mind, the fan blades are fully stored inside the unit when not in use. Only a compact ceiling light, approximately 50cm in diameter, remains on the ceiling, eliminating visual clutter. When the fan is in use, large curved blades with a diameter of approximately 109cm deploy, delivering gentle airflow throughout the room. Since the blades are not constantly exposed, dust accumulation is minimized, making daily maintenance easy.

The product also features a voice recognition chip trained on diverse Japanese speech data.
