The project began with a mission: to replace the umbrella frame — a component with high environmental impact during both manufacturing and disposal — with an eco-friendly material.

Bamboo is lightweight, strong, flexible, fast-growing, and has low environmental impact even after harvesting. Because focused on bamboo’s exceptional qualities and, in collaboration with woodworking workshops, conducted extensive research to successfully develop it for use as umbrella frames. Bamboo is now reborn as the main ribs, stretchers, handle, handle ring, ferrule, and button. The fabric is made from RE:PET™, a material derived from approximately three recycled PET bottles, and features full blackout treatment. The result is a stylish, high-quality, and eco-conscious fully blackout umbrella.

Achieves '100% UV cut,' ideal for protection against intense summer sunlight and harmful UV rays. Additionally, it has earned the highest rating of 'UPF50+' under the global UV protection standard UPF, effectively shielding skin from sunburn and other damage.

The inner side of the umbrella features a black polyurethane coating. This absorbs and blocks not only direct sunlight from above but also reflected light from asphalt and ground surfaces — often overlooked. 'Bambrella' emphasizes not only environmental friendliness but also high functionality for comfortably navigating today’s extreme climates.
