"La Folle Journée" (LFJ)...
"La Folle Journée" is a classical music festival born in Nantes, a port city in western France, in 1995 with the aim of "democratizing classical music." Artists from all over the world gather to perform first-class concerts, each lasting about 45 minutes, at low prices, from morning till night. In Japan, it has been held annually during Golden Week since 2005. In addition to ticketed performances, there are open programs such as concerts in the ground plaza where anyone can easily enjoy music, master classes, and various events (concerts, children's programs, lectures, etc.) that can be participated in by presenting a ticket (or stub) for a paid performance, making it enjoyable for both children and adults.
Also, during the music festival, mini-concerts are held in surrounding areas such as Marunouchi, immersing the entire city in music.
