Niigata Prefecture's largest student community, "Jisedai BASE" (Co-representatives: Karaku Ezure, Fuzuki Iwata), is transitioning to a new phase of activities to commemorate its 2nd anniversary. To resolve the fundamental issue of youth outflow—the disconnection from the region due to changes in life stages—they are building "One Seam Niigata," a platform that allows individuals to maintain lifelong connections with Niigata. Concurrently, NeoSeam Inc. has been established as the operating entity to ensure the sustainability of this initiative.
Jisedai BASE 2026 Kick-off
Autonomous, Decentralized Community Management Where "Individual Aspirations" Transform into "Regional Value"
The "Jisedai BASE" community, which started with four students, has rapidly grown to 300 members and a network of 6,000 followers in just two years. This rapid growth is attributed to a unique mechanism that implements individual students' "aspirations" into local society.
Transcending the traditional frameworks of "volunteering" and "educational programs," approximately nine diverse specialized projects in areas such as fashion, food, disaster prevention, and media operate in parallel. This allows students to hone their skills while creating points of contact with the region. This "autonomous, decentralized" activity style is the source of high engagement, attracting students from over 30 universities both within and outside Niigata Prefecture.
