Hotel New Otani Makuhari will be operating its outdoor pool "Shell Pool" for a limited time from July 18, 2026 (Sat) to September 22, 2026 (Tue, holiday).

With another hot summer expected, the magical "Night Pool," which opens at 6 PM, fulfills the desire to "enjoy summer outdoors to the fullest without worrying about sunlight or sunburn." This summer, to allow even more people to enjoy the ever-popular night pool, we are proposing new ways to enjoy it, such as a family plan exclusively for hotel guests that allows children to enter, and a student discount plan available only in July that allows you to enjoy it for less than half price.

The biggest appeal of the night pool is the resort feel you can enjoy while feeling the pleasant night breeze, free from the strong daytime sun. This year's theme is "PINK & GOLD," a combination of exhilarating "pink" and sparkling "gold." Throughout the period, the entire pool will be adorned with gorgeous lighting every night, creating a photogenic space no matter where you look. You can enjoy a luxurious adult night, woven from the sparkling water surface and colorful lights.

To celebrate your hard work in the first semester and kick off your summer vacation in the best way possible, the "Student Discount Plan," which was very popular last year, will reappear for July only (sales start July 18). For students junior high school age and older, the regular admission fee of up to ¥6,500 will be less than half price at ¥3,000 (student ID required) regardless of whether it's a weekend or weekday. Furthermore, groups of 4 or more will receive one non-alcoholic drink each, supporting students in creating special memories.

Adding to the sparkle of the pink pool are a variety of pink gourmet dishes. In addition to the ever-popular "Pink Burger," be sure to enjoy the "Pink Float Sparkling," inspired by pink inner tubes, and the hotel's homemade "Pink Malasada" – delicious and cute!

In response to the strong requests from families with children who wanted to use the night pool together, we are finally allowing children to enter the night pool this summer. Guests staying at the hotel can enjoy the sparkling, magical atmosphere of the pool with their children from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. How about a comfortable family time avoiding the heat?

"Colorful Penguin Drink"

This summer also sees the debut of the "Colorful Penguin Drink," served in adorable penguin-shaped bottles. There are three types in total, evoking the hotel's location and signature spots: "Sunset Orange" (ginger ale x orange flavor), inspired by the magical sunset; "Marine Blue" (Calpis x refreshing salt lemon cider), reminiscent of Chiba's sea; and "Pink Pool" (mild strawberry milk flavor), named after the night pool itself. These original drinks, enjoyable for both children and adults, will enhance your summer mood.
