To the question, 'Do you know the term Sokochi?', the overall results were as follows: Know it (affirmative answer): 56.1% Don't know it (negative answer): 36.3% Cannot say either way: 7.6% More than half responded 'Know it,' which at first glance suggests high awareness. However, a closer look at the breakdown reveals that approximately 38% (61 people / 162 people) of the 'Know it' group 'know it but cannot explain its meaning,' highlighting a reality where the term's sound precedes its actual understanding. Furthermore, among the 36.3% who responded 'Don't know it,' many comments indicated, 'I've heard of the term leasehold right,' revealing that a considerable number of people know 'the right of the borrower (leasehold right)' but do not connect it with 'the land of the lender (Sokochi).'
