DBV Inc. (Headquarters: Edogawa-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kenichi Yoshioka) will launch "cnvSkillsheet," an AI skill sheet optimization SaaS designed to simultaneously address the challenges of stagnant engineer rates and the attrition of talented personnel in the SES (System Engineering Service) industry, on July 1, 2026 (Wed).

[Background of Development: Towards an Industry That Can "Fairly Evaluate" Engineers' Value]
Service Overview and Concept Diagram
In the SES industry, where multi-layered subcontracting is common, the deeper the business flow, the more opaque the end-user unit price becomes. This structure tends to create lost opportunities for both engineer evaluation and company profits. Engineers struggle with the gap between their market value and their compensation, while companies face the challenges of "loss of trained personnel" and "recurrent recruitment and training costs."
Before and After: From "Submission Document" to "Strategy Document"
DBV developed this service with the aim of solving both of these issues simultaneously, not as opposing problems, but through the same mechanism. "cnvSkillsheet" reconstructs an engineer's career history from a mere "submission document" into a "strategy document" that substantiates appropriate unit pricing. This provides engineers with "visualization of their appropriate unit price and career path," and client companies (SES companies) with "optimization of gross profit." The return on investment is expected to be roughly equivalent to the gross profit from one project.

[Three Core Functions]
1. "AI Multi-faceted Production" that optimizes career descriptions according to the proposed project
Function 1: Resume Conversion & Proposal Target Conversion
Even with the same career history, AI automatically reconstructs the career description to emphasize strengths based on the proposed project (infrastructure/PM/PL candidate/cloud, etc.). This enables proposals that reflect the engineer's strengths, regardless of the sales representative's skill level.
2. "Natural Retention" through visualization of market value
Function 2: Visualization of Career Path
By AI indicating objective career advancement paths (e.g., SE → PL → PM), engineers can feel that "working here is the most beneficial for my unit price and career." This supports retention by allowing engineers themselves to choose "to stay," rather than being bound.
3. Design that does not retain engineer's personal information
Function 3: Design that does not retain personal information
Function 3_2: Design that does not retain personal information
"cnvSkillsheet" employs a design that does not store information identifying individual engineers (such as name and contact information) in our company's server database, and requires two-factor authentication for all users. Engineer career data is handled only in memory during processing and is not accumulated in the system. Project information used to improve AI accuracy also undergoes normalization processing to automatically remove and abstract unique information such as company names and personal names before storage, utilizing only technical knowledge (assigned tasks, technologies used, achievements, etc.) that is not tied to specific individuals or clients. By ensuring de-identification on the system side, independent of the input provider's entries, the risk of information leakage is structurally reduced without retaining sensitive personal information of engineers.
[Development Background: "AWS Activate" Adoption Driven by a Clear Vision]
AWS Activate Adoption Badge
"cnvSkillsheet" was developed with the vision of "solving the structural issues of the SES industry with technology," and in the early stages of development, we applied for AWS's startup support program, "AWS Activate." Receiving the adoption notification approximately 12 hours after application, much faster than anticipated, provided a strong sense of validation for the vision and direction we had set, becoming a driving force for accelerating development.
[Comment from President and CEO Kenichi Yoshioka]
Message from President Kenichi Yoshioka
"Having been involved in the SES industry for a long time, I have faced the reality that the value of each individual engineer becomes less visible due to the multi-layered business flow. What I want to achieve with "cnvSkillsheet" is not a competition for limited jobs, but to raise the added value of the entire industry through technology.
We will correctly visualize the value of engineers and connect it to appropriate evaluation. Together with all of you, we will build a new industry standard where engineers and sales professionals can grow together with mutual respect."
