Terra Lab, Inc. (Headquarters: Aichi Prefecture, CEO: Takahide Matsuura) will exhibit at "Japan Drone 2026," one of Japan's largest drone exhibitions, held at Makuhari Messe from June 3 (Wed) to 5 (Fri), 2026.
At this exhibition, we will unveil the fixed-wing VTOL unmanned aerial vehicle "Terra Dolphin VTOL," developed for disaster response, infrastructure management, and security fields; the "Terra Dolphin MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance)" for long-range, wide-area operations; and the "Terra GCS (Ground Control System)," which integrates observation, communication, and information sharing. Furthermore, through international conferences and agreement ceremonies, we will disseminate information on the dual-use application of unmanned aerial vehicles and international collaboration focusing on the ASEAN region.
Exhibits Terra Dolphin VTOL Terra Dolphin MALE Terra Ground Control System
"Terra Dolphin VTOL" A fixed-wing VTOL unmanned aerial vehicle developed for disaster response and infrastructure management. It can take off and land without a runway, yet possesses the long-range, wide-area flight capabilities characteristic of fixed-wing aircraft, enabling wide-area observation and real-time information sharing.
"Terra Dolphin MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance)" A next-generation unmanned aerial vehicle concept model designed for long-duration, long-range flights. It is being developed as an aerial platform for high-altitude, long-endurance operations, with applications in wide-area surveillance, disaster response, and security.
"Terra GCS (Ground Control System)" A next-generation ground control system that integrates unmanned aerial vehicle operation management, video transmission, and location information sharing. By sharing and visualizing acquired information in real-time, it supports rapid decision-making in initial disaster response and wide-area operations.
Workshop Date & Time: June 3, 2026 (Wed) 13:40–14:00 Venue: Open Stage Content: The Terra Dolphin VTOL is a next-generation fixed-wing VTOL unmanned aerial vehicle developed for disaster response and infrastructure management. Leveraging its ability to fly long distances without a runway, it enables situational awareness over wide areas and real-time information sharing. This session will introduce its operational concept integrating observation, communication, and sharing, as well as its future social implementation and application possibilities. Agreement Ceremony & Dialogue Session Date & Time: June 4, 2026 (Thu) 13:30–14:30 Venue: Terra Lab Booth
"Security Business Innovation Japan (SBIJ), Agreement Ceremony" Collaboration for promoting dual-use of unmanned aerial vehicles and creating international projects, mainly in the ASEAN region.
"Defence Technology Institute (DTI), Kingdom of Thailand, Agreement Ceremony" Collaboration for demonstration, technology exchange, and building local operational models for unmanned aerial vehicles.
"Dialogue Session" Following the conclusion of agreements with the Security Business Innovation Japan (SBIJ) and the Defence Technology Institute (DTI) of Thailand, a discussion on the outlook for dual-use applications of unmanned aerial vehicles, international technology collaboration, and building operational models in the ASEAN region will be held.
International Conference Date & Time: June 5, 2026 (Fri) 14:40–15:30 Venue: Conference Room 2 Theme: "Dual-Use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles – The Role of Civilian Technology in Supporting International Security" This session will discuss the social implementation and international deployment of unmanned aerial vehicles from the perspectives of defense policy, security, and civilian technology. In recent years, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) have been utilized in various fields such as disaster response and infrastructure monitoring, and are also attracting attention as dual-use technology in the field of international security. This session will discuss the potential for dual-use of unmanned aerial vehicles from the perspectives of defense equipment policy, the security field, and civilian technology. It will cross-examine policy, security, and industrial viewpoints to consider the role of civilian technology in international security and its future prospects.
