Born in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, raised in Kansai. Graduated from Nada High School, Kyoto University, Faculty of Education, Department of Educational Psychology. While enrolled, worked as a math instructor at a major cram school in Kansai. After graduation, served as head of recruitment and HR at Recruit, Lifenet Insurance, etc. Subsequently established Jinzai Kenkyusho, an HR consulting firm. Provides HR and recruitment consulting, training, lectures, and writing activities for many organizations, including major Japanese companies, foreign-affiliated companies, mega-startups, long-established companies, small and medium-sized businesses/startups, and government agencies. Author of "HR and Recruitment Theory," "Management Bias in People and Organizations," "Habits of Capable and Incapable HR," "Interview Manual for the Socially Awkward," "Why Do Companies Founded by Bad People Grow?" etc. Currently, he writes columns for Y! Eisaku Harada, Applied Materials Japan Co., Ltd.
