KAMIYAMA YO New Album "Chemical X" Set for Release on August 5th! Full Song Pre-release on Digital Platforms July 22nd! New Artist Photo Also Revealed!!

KAMIYAMA YO has announced that his new album "Chemical X" will be released on August 5th.

"Chemical X" is his first album in approximately four years since his previous work "CLOSET." It is scheduled to include numerous songs, from "Summer Time feat. Tomoko Ikeda" released in 2022 to his latest track "Sei - Sei," which will be released next week on July 8th. The package will be available in two formats: a special edition including a CD, a ZINE-style booklet, and a sticker sheet, and a regular edition.

Purchase bonuses have also been decided: a mega jacket will be offered at Amazon.co.jp, an acrylic carabiner-style charm at Seven Net Shopping, an A4 clear poster at Rakuten Books, and a B3 poster at supporting stores, all on a first-come, first-served basis.

Details regarding the album's tracklist and artwork will be announced at a later date.

Furthermore, it has been decided that all songs will be pre-released digitally on July 22nd, prior to the physical release.

Pre-add/Presave on Apple Music and Spotify has also started today.

Regarding the album, KAMIYAMA YO commented, "For the past few years, while working with the songs on this album, my major theme was 'not defining KAMIYAMA YO's sound.' As a result, I feel that the songs have become a collection where each piece interacts with the others, creating a chemical reaction. I would be happy if many people could experience it."

Along with the album release information, a new artist photo shot by photographer Taichi Nishimaki has been unveiled. The visual, which blends reality and unreality with bold compositions using a fisheye lens and psychedelic color expressions, evokes the experimental worldview of the work.
