ALI Drops 'FUNKIN' BEAUTIFUL feat. ZORN' MV — Anime 'Left-Handed Ellen' OP Theme

ALI unveiled the music video for 'FUNKIN' BEAUTIFUL feat. ZORN' on May 20, 2026 at 8PM JST via YouTube (https://youtu.be/S7BT_tEx7BA). The song was digitally released on April 8, 2026 as the opening theme for TV anime 'Left-Handed Ellen' (Hidari-kiki no Ellen), which began airing on TV Tokyo affiliate channels from April 7, 2026. The track features ZORN, a leading figure in Japan's HIP HOP scene, in his first-ever collaboration with ALI. The song blends ALI's crossover sound spanning FUNK, SOUL, JAZZ, and HIP HOP with ZORN's raw and sharp lyricism, generating major buzz since its release. In the MV, ALI's vocalist LEO and ZORN share the screen for the first time, creating a unique tension and groove born from their contrasting genres and backgrounds. Direction was handled by filmmaker Takuto Shinbo, who cinematically captured the song's beauty and solitude through architectural aesthetics and urban minimalism. A limited vinyl LP (SRJL-1147, 9 tracks, 5,500 JPY incl. tax) is also available. ALI, a multicultural Tokyo-based music project led by vocalist LEO with roots in Japan, Spain, UK, and the Philippines, marks its 10th anniversary in 2026.
