To Commemorate the 6/10 Blu-ray Release! A Two-Day Screening Event Confirmed for June 1 (Mon) and 2 (Tue) at Theaters in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya!!

Live Blu-rays featuring the live film "Eiichi Ohtaki's NIAGARA 50th Odyssey Live", which recorded the event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Niagara Records, and "Shigeru Suzuki sings Eiichi Ohtaki vol.9 - Niagara Records 50th Anniversary Special -" will be released on June 10.

To commemorate this release, screening events for the above two works have been decided to be held at cinemas in Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka. The screening dates are for two days: June 1 (Monday) and June 2 (Tuesday). Furthermore, it was announced that the phantom studio live film "Fussa 45 Studio Live 1976", recorded at Fussa 45 Studio, will also be screened as special footage.

Gorgeous guests including Shigeru Suzuki, Taeko Onuki, Takaya Kawasaki, Night Tempo, Marina Watanabe, and Maki Nomiya appeared at the 50th-anniversary live "Eiichi Ohtaki's NIAGARA 50th Odyssey Live" held at LINE CUBE SHIBUYA (Shibuya Public Hall), Tokyo on July 12, 2025. The sound production was handled by keyboardist Akira Inoue, who has supported the Niagara sound for many years. Additionally, top musicians representing Japan such as Tsuyoshi Kon, Kenji Takamizu, Mataro Misawa, Takuo Yamamoto, and Tomoo Tsuruya participated. Masterpieces such as "Kimi wa Tennenshoku", "Shiawase na Ketsumatsu", and "Koisuru Karen" were performed by this specially organized special band.

Also, on the following day, July 13, at Sakura Hall in Tokyo, "Shigeru Suzuki sings Eiichi Ohtaki vol.9 - Niagara Records 50th Anniversary Special -" was held. This live performance by Shigeru Suzuki—a sworn ally from the national treasure band "Happy End" which Eiichi Ohtaki was a member of—featured guest appearances by Ginji Ito and Masamichi Sugi, who have deep connections with Eiichi Ohtaki. The special performance, which showcased 25 of Ohtaki's works, was recorded.

The Eiichi Ohtaki live film "Fussa 45 Studio Live 1976" was produced as part of the promotion for the 1976 album "Niagara Triangle Vol.1". Also known as the "Niagara Promotion Film", it was considered phantom footage even among enthusiasts. The lineup featured Eiichi Ohtaki alongside Ginji Ito (guitar), Kunio Muramatsu (guitar), Hiroki Komazawa (steel guitar), Jiro Terao (bass), Yutaka Uehara (drums), and Ryuichi Sakamoto (keyboards). Particularly, the footage of the late Ryuichi Sakamoto performing before the formation of YMO is exceptionally precious.

Eiichi Ohtaki is a singer-songwriter and music producer who built the foundation of J-POP and City Pop, exerting a massive influence on the Japanese music industry. At this event celebrating the 50th anniversary of the label "Niagara Records" which he established in the 1970s, gorgeous artists gather, and two works that fully convey that charm will be screened in theaters.

From such live films, the footage of "Shiawase na Ketsumatsu" featuring Taeko Onuki, Maki Nomiya, Marina Watanabe, and Takaya Kawasaki has been premiered for the first time on the official Sony Music Entertainment YouTube channel.

We highly encourage you to experience the special live performance on the large screen and with dynamic sound in a cinema. Applause and cheering are also permitted during the screening.

Furthermore, for the screenings on June 1 and 2, a stage greeting event is scheduled to take place only in Tokyo. The speakers and the times for the stage greeting will be announced at a later date.
