Sonar-u Partners with 'Asian Television Awards 2026' to Host Japan Qualifiers for New Livestream Music Category on 'Mudia'

Consequently, we are pleased to announce that 'Mudia' will host the audition to select the Japanese representatives (nominated artists) for the newly established 'Livestream Music Performance Category' starting in 2026.

Established in 1996, the ATA covers 25 countries and regions in the Asia-Pacific. It is one of the most prestigious media awards in Asia, broadcast to approximately 500 million households through over 200 video platforms.

In response to the rise of digital natives, the 'ATA Livestream Awards' have been newly established starting in the 2026 fiscal year.

- **The Role of Mudia**
As the 'Country Partner' holding the official license in Japan, Sonar-u will play a role in connecting the talents of online creators based in Japan to the world.

### 2. Details of the Audition 'Japan Representative Selection'

To send Japanese artists to Asia, recruitment will be conducted in four categories.

- Solo Male
- Solo Female
- Group Male
- Group Female

- **Selection Flow**
- Qualifiers: July 4-5, 2026 (Mudia online voting)
- Semi-final: July 11-12, 2026 (Mudia online voting)
- FINAL: July 26, 2026 (Live performance review at Akihabara Venus and Mudia live broadcast)

- **Award Benefits**
- The top 3 groups in each category (12 groups in total) will be officially nominated as 'Japan Representatives.'
- Exposure to media throughout Asia and the right to walk the red carpet at the main event.
- If selected as the best artist, the right to perform on the main stage of the award ceremony in Vietnam (tentative), with travel and accommodation expenses fully covered by ATA.
