Overview of the "Comprehensive Guidebook to Whole-Body Cancer Screening Methods"

Whole-body cancer screening includes imaging tests (PET/CT, whole-body MRI) and specimen tests (blood, urine), and they differ significantly in detection principle, coverage, accuracy, cost, radiation exposure, and patient burden. This guide organizes the six main methods side-by-side from the same perspective, providing information to help you choose the test that best suits your risk profile.

<What you will learn from this material>

The differences between imaging and specimen tests, and their respective strengths and weaknesses.

Comparison points for accuracy, cost, radiation exposure, and patient burden for six whole-body cancer screening methods.

Considerations for selecting tests based on your risk profile and how to interpret the results.

<Recommended for>

Those considering whole-body cancer screening but unsure about the differences in methods.

Those who want to compare multiple options such as PET/CT, blood, and urine tests.

Those who want to know how to choose a test that matches their personal risk.

Eliminating Cancer Anxiety and Suffering | Cellcloud

Currently, it is said that more than one in two Japanese people develop cancer, and about 40% of people over 40 die from cancer. We believe the fear of cancer, which can strike anyone, lies in its "difficulty of detection," where it is often too late by the time it is discovered.

Even for those who undergo annual health check-ups without fail, very few are able to screen for all whole-body cancer risks. Cancer does not only occur in major organs like the lungs and stomach; it can also develop in areas not covered by basic health check-up menus. However, to thoroughly check the entire body, additional tests would be necessary for each deficient area, which would not only be costly but also take more than a day.

On the other hand, the biggest reason for those who do not undergo cancer screening is "lack of time." Even with the desire to be tested, they struggle to even get regular cancer screenings or health check-ups, making the hurdle for undergoing whole-body cancer screening even higher.

In recent years, simple cancer risk tests that only require collecting and sending blood, urine, or saliva have emerged. While it is very encouraging that the participation rate for cancer risk checks is increasing, many of these tests determine risk based on indirect or statistical trends. It cannot be denied that there are some ambiguous aspects to the results.

Against this backdrop, the microCTC (Circulating Tumor Cells) test we offer can capture cancer cells themselves that have flowed into the bloodstream during their proliferation process, thus determining if cancer cells are present "now." It is a cancer risk test that allows for whole-body cancer screening at the cellular level with just a single blood draw at a clinic.

We believe that by enabling people, even those with limited time, to assess their whole-body cancer risks in a very short period without burdening their bodies, we can alleviate the "anxiety" many people feel about cancer.

The anxiety of "someday, I might get cancer." The anxiety of "what if I have cancer?" The anxiety of "will it recur?" If we can dispel the various "anxieties" that accompany the unseen nature of cancer, it may also be possible to eliminate the "suffering" of cancer that lies beyond.

We are committed to making our microCTC test available to as many people as possible in order to "eliminate cancer anxiety and suffering."

*Excludes blood cancers.
