'PSO2 New Genesis ver.2' Launches Collaboration to Celebrate Sonic's 35th Anniversary

Sega Corporation has implemented an update for its popular online RPG, 'PSO2 New Genesis ver.2' (NGS), on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. The update features a collaboration with 'Sonic the Hedgehog' to commemorate the character's 35th anniversary on June 23, 2026.

Limited-Time Quests: "Special Drill: Sonic Sprint 2" & "Special Drill: Shadow Sprint 2" Period: June 17 (Wed) after maintenance – June 24 (Wed) 12:00

Sonic-themed quests, "Special Drill: Sonic Sprint 2" and "Special Drill: Shadow Sprint 2," will be available on a daily rotation. These are updated versions of previously released Sonic-themed quests with different enemies and enemy levels. Dash through Halpha, collect Rings and Chaos Emeralds to earn more Quest Points. Your character's abilities will be enhanced as you gather points and emeralds, which you can maximize to challenge the final boss. New title tasks and limited-time tasks will also be added. Complete them to earn titles and "Shin Choseitan Festival '26 SP Scratch Ticket." *Meseta Boosts do not apply to these quests.

A special SP Scratch Ticket arrives to celebrate the 35th-anniversary collaboration. It's packed with new collaboration items, including Shadow-themed setwear, outerwear with Sonic illustrations, and various Sonic-related accessories, stamps, and build parts. Additionally, a "Sonic 35th Anniversary Login Bonus" is running until July 15 (Wed), offering daily tickets. Log in every day to collect various items.

Seasonal Exchange Shop Update The seasonal point exchange shop will be updated with items like the "Anga Fandarge Wing" accessory, BP "Dynamic Heart," and BP "Water Server B." Valuable items such as the "Shin Choseitan Festival '26 SP Scratch Ticket" and "N-Master Cube" will also be available.

New Free AC Scratch: "Chaste Treabridal '26" Period: June 17 (Wed) after maintenance – July 15 (Wed) before maintenance

The new AC Scratch "Chaste Treabridal '26" debuts with wedding dress-themed costumes, formal ceremony attire, and weapon camos. Look out for the new lobby action "1221 'Sit on a Star 2'" and idle motion "Mo 'Idle: Standing Pose 7'."
