Seiban Co., Ltd. (Head office: Tatsuno City, Hyogo Prefecture; President: Takaaki Izumi; hereinafter 'Seiban') conducted an internal survey on the sales of its Tenshi no Hane randoseru models for students entering school in fiscal year 2027 (hereinafter, '27 models') up to the Golden Week holidays.
With the Obon season approaching, another popular time for purchasing randoseru after May, we are releasing a portion of the survey results to serve as a reference for families who are starting to choose a randoseru.

Survey Results Summary

Light blue for girls at approx. 27%, and black for boys at approx. 71%

Popular colors for Tenshi no Hane randoseru are light blue for girls at approx. 27% and black for boys at approx. 71%
A survey of popular colors within the Tenshi no Hane randoseru line up to Golden Week revealed that the most popular color for girls was light blue at approx. 27%. Purple was also popular at a close second with approx. 26%, but the third place went to white at approx. 15%, slightly surpassing the perennial favorite, pink.
For boys, the most popular color was black at approx. 71%, indicating its continued strong popularity as a 'cool' color, following last year's trend.
[Noteworthy!] Popularity of monotone colors for girls has tripled in 5 years!
Regarding popular colors for girls, a comparison between the total sales of white & black monotone colors in 2021 and this year shows that their popularity has risen by about three times.
Furthermore, a closer comparison reveals that white has increased by about 2.7 times, and black, traditionally a 'boy's color' for the parent generation, has surged by about 5.7 times.
Previously, white was often avoided due to concerns about dirt, but it seems to have emerged as a viable option as the artificial leather used for randoseru, unlike fabric products, is a material resistant to scratches and stains.
Additionally, with the introduction of 'cute black' randoseru like the 'Model Royal Regio Ruban,' the demand for monotone colors such as white and black, which are standard for adult bags, appears to be increasing year by year in the choices for girls as well.

The 'two new functions to reduce the burden on the body (*)' introduced this February are gaining attention.
The No. 1 popular Tenshi no Hane randoseru models, 'Model Royal Crystal' and 'Model Royal Dragoon,' are available in either the new function model or the conventional function model.
This time, when we surveyed the popularity of each, we found that more than half of customers are choosing the 'new function models.'
It appears that many people are choosing them in response to the recent issue of heavier textbooks in randoseru, wanting to reduce the burden on their growing children's bodies as much as possible.
