According to a survey*1 by the Children and Families Agency, emergency transport due to heatstroke has been occurring from around May in recent years. The number of children transported by ambulance due to heatstroke in 2023 (total from May to September) was 10,384, an increase of 2,180 compared to the previous year, marking the highest in the past five years.
In addition, sudden rain such as guerrilla rainstorms caused by rapid temperature changes accompanying extreme heat is increasing year by year, requiring safety measures.
