The 'Future Beer Garden 2026', hosted by Kamikatsu Town in Tokushima Prefecture—the first municipality in Japan to make a zero-waste declaration—will be held for two days on Thursday, May 14, and Friday, May 15, 2026, at Otemachi Naka-dori (1-9-7 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo). As the second round of information, we are announcing an additional corporate exhibition content, as well as the release of a craft beer making its debut at this event.

Operated by Spec Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokushima City, Tokushima / hereinafter 'Spec'), this event is hosted by Kamikatsu Town to broadly promote the zero-waste initiatives the town has been advancing.

Under the concept of 'Drink, eat, enjoy. Connecting to something slightly good for the environment', the purpose is to have visitors experience its charm firsthand and to make resource circulation feel more familiar in the heart of the city.

[Special Exhibition] A 'Time Machine' that is slightly good for the environment appears

As part of the corporate exhibitions within this event, there will be a special display of the time machine from that famous movie, owned by JEPLAN, INC. (hereinafter 'JEPLAN').

The time machine in this exhibition is a special vehicle that actually ran on biofuel made from collected old clothes. It is utilized as a symbolic entity that allows people to intuitively and enjoyably experience the potential of resource circulation.

Against the backdrop of JEPLAN's mission to 'circulate everything', it deeply resonates with the event's concept of 'experiencing resource circulation closely while having fun'.

This exhibition creates an opportunity for visitors to think about future lifestyles and the state of resources. Furthermore, during the exhibition period, visitors can actually get into the driver's seat and enjoy taking commemorative photos.

JEPLAN, INC.

With the mission to 'circulate everything', the JEPLAN Group breaks down and purifies waste PET to the molecular level using proprietary PET chemical recycling technology, regenerating it into recycled materials of equivalent quality to petroleum-derived ones. It contributes to resource circulation and CO2 emission reduction. The company operates facilities at two locations in Japan and is also promoting its technology licensing business. https://www.jeplan.co.jp/

[Event Pre-release] A 'Craft Beer' that is slightly good for the environment

Through a collaboration between Kamikatsu Town's brewery 'RISE & WIN Brewing Co.' (hereinafter 'RISE & WIN'), operated by Spec, and Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. (hereinafter 'Mitsubishi Estate'), we will once again release this year the sustainable craft beer 'TOWN CRAFT - A beer thinking about the future of the town - Yuko Harvest Saison', which allows anyone to easily participate in zero-waste activities while in the city center.

This product is developed as part of a sustainable urban development project by Spec and Mitsubishi Estate, which won the Local Impact category at the 'Xtrepreneur AWARD 2024' sponsored by Forbes JAPAN.

Style: Saison, ABV (Alcohol by Volume): 5.0%

■ A slightly good cup for the environment, fruited beyond circulation

Food waste is regenerated into liquid fertilizer at the compost in Tokiwabashi Tower, and crops grown and harvested with that liquid fertilizer are utilized. The ingredients include 'reRise Wheat' born from this circulation, combined with aged 'Yuko', a specialty citrus of Kamikatsu Town, resulting in a cup where you can taste the 'fruits' of resource circulation connecting the city and the local area.

*reRise: A positive resource circulation system that RISE & WIN aims for.

Yuko is wrapped in rice husks and aged

Based on a crisp and light saison, a generous amount of fully ripe Yuko is used. The soft sweetness of Yuko and the citrus flavor stand out even more, allowing you to enjoy a refreshing and profound taste.
